FourJaw 2.1 enables Manufacturers to Easily manage and improve OEE

FourJaw has released our next-generation machine data monitoring platform, incorporating real-time Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) functionality.  For the first time, FourJaw 2.1 enables manufacturers of all sizes and types to use what many view as the gold standard for measuring productivity to improve manufacturing processes within our analytics platform.

FourJaw 2.1 is the latest version of our award-winning cloud-based manufacturing analytics software. Harnessing Industry 4.0 principles we give manufacturers access to real-time visibility of their factory floor, providing insight to understand how productive and utilised their machines are, no matter the brand, type or age.

Today, we are excited to tell you, that with the release of FourJaw 2.1 we are making measuring OEE truly accessible.

FourJaw's manufacturing analytics platform offers real-time measurement and visualisation of OEE, replacing manual, labour and time-intensive processes traditionally relied on by many manufacturers, making measuring and improving OEE easier than ever before.

The new OEE functionality is joined by a number of platform improvements, added as a result of customer feedback and are the first to be launched as part of FourJaw’s 2023 product roadmap.

FourJaw 2.1 also focuses on improving communication between factory floor staff and management, enabled by new native in-app messaging functionality on tablets used by operators.

The new messaging feature allows machine operators, factory floor supervisors and/or management to communicate with the right people at the right time, facilitating faster communication and therefore quicker remedies to any production problems, with better teamwork and transparency across the business.

Additionally, we have redesigned the operator workspace, giving machine operators the tools they need to understand, manage and improve their machine or cell/line productivity. FourJaw 2.1 also sees the introduction of new tablet hardware and mounts to improve user experience and security.

Robin Hartley-Willows, FourJaw Co-Founder and CTO said:

“We started this business to help manufacturers of all shapes and sizes achieve their productivity potential, and I see FourJaw 2.1 as not just a small step, but a big leap towards achieving that goal.

“Our new messaging features and tablet upgrades will empower factory floor staff to get the support they need when they need it and to access feedback on the productivity of their machines in real-time. It's no secret that supporting factory floor staff is the key to productivity, and we are here to give them the tools to work smarter, not harder.

“Many manufacturers we speak to say that they have previously gone to great lengths to try and measure OEE, but like many, find it a labour-intensive and often an inaccurate process. That changes with FourJaw 2.1 as we make it possible to capture OEE in real-time from your machines, regardless of age, size or brand, using plug-and-play hardware.”

As a factory owner or manager, part of your role and responsibility is to look for ways to increase factory efficiency and eliminate waste. Improving OEE is a key measure to enable you to do this.

For those new to FourJaw, here's a summary of some of the key benefits we enable manufacturers to achieve when using our platform:

  • Improve production uptime
  • Improve communication across the factory floor
  • Understand what type of work is most profitable
  • Understand which shifts are more efficient and why
  • Know where and what process improvements will have the biggest impact
  • Reduce production backlogs
  • Reduce production costs
  • Plan resources more efficiently
  • Enhance data quality so you can make an informed, confident decision
  • Remove, inaccurate and manual paper-based processes

We work with manufacturers to support their continuous improvement and lean manufacturing programs, by providing the right information so that informed decisions can be made to continually improve their processes.

FourJaw’s manufacturing analytics platform provides a fast payback period with a return on investment typically achieved in months, not years, and as you’d expect, our technology comes with customer support to make sure you and your teams get the most from the platform.
