Quarterly Product Roundup – Edition #3
Welcome to our latest quarterly product update.
Since our last update, we’ve been focused on building new productivity tools within FourJaw 'New'. Behind the scenes, we've also been getting things set up to start retiring elements of FourJaw 'Classic', the first of which will be 'Timeline view' (more on this below).
Check out what's been released and what’s coming next, including the launch of our new 'Productivity Accelerator Programme'.
We're starting to say goodbye to FourJaw 'Classic'
In May, we launched FourJaw New — the next generation of our platform, built to deliver the right information to the right people at the right time.
Since then, we’ve added new productivity tools, including Timeline View (previously the most popular feature in Classic). Timeline View is now live in New and will be the first Classic feature to switch off on 27th October 2025.
We’ve created a dedicated webpage to explain the move, what’s changing, and how to transition smoothly.
FourJaw Classic will remain supported until its retirement in 2026.
Continuous Improvement webinar recap
A big thank you to everyone who joined our live webinar with Oliver, Chris, and special guest Craig Meadowcroft, who explored the role of accurate, clean data in driving a culture of continuous improvement.
During the session, they discussed aligning the mindset of operations and CI, introduced FourJaw's productivity accelerator programme, and delved into what CI looks like when it's done right, with CI expert Craig.
If you couldn’t make it or want to revisit the conversation, you can watch the full recording on demand.
New - Downtime Trending widget
Easily track the impact of improvement initiatives by showing how downtime hours change over time. It makes it easy to spot growing issues, understand whether one type of downtime increases as another decreases, and measure the effectiveness of changes on the shop floor.
The new widget is fully configurable, allowing you to select specific downtime reasons, set custom date ranges, and view trends week by week. You can also compare downtime by machine or by reason, giving you a clearer picture of performance across your factory.
Introducing the Productivity Accelerator Programme
About the CI programme
The Productivity Accelerator Programme was built with our customer community in mind, helping manufacturers turn machine data into meaningful continuous improvement.
Through a simple, proven step-by-step approach, it guides teams to benchmark performance, uncover the biggest causes of lost productivity, and deliver targeted projects that create both quick wins and lasting results.
Learn more about who the programme is for, why it was created, and the outcomes you can expect via the link below.
What's coming next?
Manual Part Count
Part Count replaces paper-based part count tracking with a simple, digital tool on the operator tablet. Operators can start a count, add a custom reference (shift, SKU, work order), set targets, and log good parts or scrap as they’re produced. Entries can be edited, and admins get a clear table view with exportable data for further analysis.
-
Launch: Early Q1 2026.
-
Beta: Open for registrations - contact Customer Success for more info.
-
Future: Deeper integration and automation in upcoming releases.
Production Planning
We’re developing a calendar-based scheduling system to replace the current shift setup. It brings planned production time, shifts, and downtime into one flexible calendar, with week/day views and simple drag-and-drop editing. Users can also adjust yesterday’s schedule for more accurate utilisation data.
-
Launch: Q1 2026 with shift management, recurring events, and core calendar functionality.
-
Future: More advanced planning features to follow throughout 2026.
Look out for the next product release communications in January, and in the meantime, we encourage customers to visit our dedicated resource page to find out more about switching from FourJaw 'Classic' to FourJaw 'New'.
