Quarterly Product Roundup – Edition #4

Welcome to our latest quarterly product update.

As we kick off 2026, we’re excited to share the first round of product updates focused on one core goal: giving you clearer insight and greater control over your production data.

This quarter’s updates include practical improvements you can use right away on the shop floor, alongside a preview of bigger changes coming soon to production planning and account access.

Here’s what’s new and what’s coming next.

What's new?

Count Production Quantities & Parts

Status: Available in Beta

Production and part count report in fourjaw

We’re introducing a new way to manually count production quantities and parts directly in FourJaw, helping teams move away from paper, clipboards, and spreadsheets.

This feature is designed to be simple, flexible, and practical for real shop-floor use.

For operators

Operators can start a count directly on their tablet and:

  • Add a custom reference such as a shift, SKU, or work order

  • Set production targets

  • Log good parts and scrap in real time, with quick edits if needed

To keep things fast and easy:

  • Smart reminders prompt operators to log output based on production speed

  • Quick-add buttons make repeat entries faster

  • Optional scrap tracking can be enabled per machine

For supervisors and managers

All part count data is available in the FourJaw web app, where it can be:

  • Viewed in a clear, structured table

  • Exported for deeper analysis and reporting

This release is an important first step away from paper-based tracking. Deeper automation and tighter integration with work booking are already planned for future releases.

Production Timeline: Highlight Downtime that matters

Status: Available now

Production timeline view in fourjaw

We’ve made it easier to focus on the downtime you actually care about.

You can now choose exactly which machine statuses to highlight on your Production Timeline widgets, giving you instant visual clarity without losing important context.

Unlike FourJaw Classic, highlighting is no longer limited to logged downtime reasons. You can now draw attention to:

  • Uptime

  • Unlabelled downtime

  • Short stops

  • Any status you’re actively investigating

The result:

  • Faster problem spotting across all machines

  • More flexible analysis using multiple timelines for different use cases

  • A clearer way to track and reduce the specific downtime reasons you’re targeting as part of continuous improvement

What's coming next?

A New Production Planning Calendar

Status: Expected Q1 2026

Production planning calendar for manufacturers

We’ve rebuilt shift management from the ground up. The old checkbox-style grid in FourJaw Classic will soon be replaced with a visual, calendar-based interface for planning and managing shifts.

Launching later this quarter, you’ll be able to:

  • Create recurring shifts

  • Manage exceptions like bank holidays or one-off changes

  • Filter widgets by shift categories

This makes it easier to:

  • Compare day vs night performance

  • Analyse downtime by shift pattern

  • Work with production schedules that reflect real-world operations

We can’t wait to get this into your hands.

One login for all your factories

Status: Expected Q1 2026

We’re also simplifying how you access FourJaw.

Soon, custom factory URLs will be a thing of the past. You’ll log in once and automatically see every factory you have access to, eliminating the need to juggle domains or bookmarks.

Whether you manage one site or twenty, everything will be accessible from a single login. We’ll be sharing more details on this change in the coming weeks.

These updates focus on reducing friction, improving visibility, and making FourJaw easier to use on a day-to-day basis, while laying the groundwork for deeper insights and automation in the future.

As always, we’d love your feedback as these features roll out. More updates coming soon.
