FourJaw Spring 2026 Product Update: vol 5

FourJaw Spring 2026 Product Update: vol 5

Manufacturing environments are constantly changing. Production schedules shift, customer demand fluctuates, and teams need accurate information to make decisions quickly.

That's why our latest platform updates focus on three areas that matter most to manufacturers: planning production more effectively, understanding output more clearly, and gaining instant visibility across the shop floor.

Here's what's new in FourJaw this Spring.

What's new?

Smarter Production Planning Is Almost Here

Status:  Beta (available to all customers within the next month)

Production planning

Planning production around real-world factory schedules can be complex. Shift changes, bank holidays, overtime, and last-minute adjustments often create unnecessary administrative work.

Our new Production Planning functionality is designed to simplify the process.

Replacing the existing Shift Patterns setup, Production Planning introduces a flexible, calendar-based interface that allows teams to:

  • Create and manage recurring shift patterns
  • Handle exceptions such as holidays and temporary schedule changes
  • Visualise production schedules more easily
  • Reduce time spent maintaining shift configurations

Alongside the new planning tools, users will soon be able to filter dashboard widgets by shift. Whether you're comparing day shifts, night shifts, or custom schedules, you'll gain a clearer understanding of how performance varies across your operation.

For production planners, this means greater flexibility and less administration. For operations leaders, it provides deeper insight into performance trends and opportunities for improvement.

Connecting Machine Performance to Production Output

Status: Available now

Production count report

Machine utilisation tells part of the story. Understanding how many products or components were actually produced tells the rest.

Our Manual Part Count feature is now available to all customers, providing a straightforward way to capture production quantities alongside machine activity.

For manufacturers still relying on paper-based production tracking, this creates a simple bridge between operational performance and actual output.

By recording production counts directly within FourJaw, teams can:

  • Track output alongside machine uptime and downtime
  • Identify production bottlenecks earlier
  • Measure the impact of improvement initiatives more effectively
  • Build a more complete view of overall equipment performance

The result is greater visibility into not only how machines are running, but what they are producing.

New Uptime and Downtime Reports Deliver Greater Detail

Status: Available now

Uptime and downtime reporting

Understanding downtime is critical, but finding and analysing historical events can often be time-consuming.

Our new Uptime and Downtime Reports bring every recorded event together in a single exportable view.

Users can now:

  • Review every uptime and downtime instance across the organisation
  • Filter by machine, department, or date range
  • Identify trends more quickly
  • Export clean CSV files for further analysis

Each report also includes live summaries showing total events, total hours, and longest instances, updating automatically as filters are applied.

For manufacturers focused on continuous improvement, these reports provide a faster route from data to action.

A peek at what's coming next...

Status: Coming Summer 2026

main WO page - with progress

We're also preparing to launch the first release of our new Work Orders Management module.

This new capability will make it easier than ever to import, manage, and track production jobs throughout their lifecycle.

The initial release will include:

  • A significantly improved CSV import experience
  • API access for technical and integrated workflows
  • Streamlined work order management processes
  • Better visibility into job progress

Additional integrations and a more user-friendly API experience will follow later in the year.

Helping Manufacturers Make Better Decisions

Every update in this release has been designed around a common goal: giving manufacturers the information they need to make faster, more informed decisions.

From smarter production planning and output tracking to enhanced reporting and real-time visibility, these improvements help teams spend less time managing data and more time improving performance.

We're excited to bring these capabilities to customers throughout 2026 and look forward to sharing more in our Summer Product Update.

These updates focus on reducing friction, improving visibility, and making FourJaw easier to use on a day-to-day basis, while laying the groundwork for deeper insights and automation in the future.

As always, we’d love your feedback as these features roll out. More updates coming soon.
